Meeting in Guanabacoa, a suburb of Havana, El Jordán Baptist Church now has approximately 100 people who attend a variety of services each week. Two of the church's ministries are with the disabled and with families affected by immigration--families with children who have moved to other countries and who are out of touch for long periods of time.

A pastor since 2007, Maykel Boz is a recent graduate of the Ecumenical Seminary of Theology in Matanzas.
