Rafael Almeida (far right) is a hospital nurse and pastor of the Gethsemaní Baptist Church in Colorado. His wife, Malunet Rodríguez (second from the left), is a psychologist at a local hospital. Church treasurer Raquel Pacheco (left) is also a nurse, and Anabel Reiez (second from right) is a student and the church's artist. Her depiction of this verse from Galatians, "Let us help bear one another's burdens," is one of many painting that line the walls of the Gethsemaní church.

Almeida has ministered in Colorado since 1994, and Gethsemaní has 41 members and a total of 65 attendees who meet in its own church building. Gethsemaní supports a variety of ministries to youth, adults, and the elderly.
